Effective May 13, 2016 the County of Orange Office on Aging is releasing a request for proposals (RFP) from qualified applicants to provide Title III B Adult Day Care services funded by the Older Americans Act, for older adults in South Orange County. The Office on Aging is located at 1300 S. Grand Ave, Santa Ana 92705. The telephone number is 1-800-510-2020.
Any organization applying to provide Adult Day Care services must provide services at a facility located in South Orange County, in one of the following cities: Aliso Viejo, Coto de Caza CDP, Dana Point, Irvine, Ladera Ranch CDP, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Las Flores CDP, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, or San Juan Capistrano.
The County reserves the right to accept any proposal as offered and to reject any and all proposals. The County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time, in whole or in part.

County of Orange Office on Aging
2016-2020 Area Plan
On Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., the County of Orange Office on Aging will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments and present information on the development of the 2016-2020 Area Plan. The hearing will be held at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center, 12732 Main Street, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
Every four years the California Department of Aging (CDA) requires the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) from all Planning and Service Areas (PSA) to develop Area Plans which address Older Americans Act and Older Californians Act programs and services administered by the local AAAs. The Office on Aging (OoA) is the Area Agency on Aging for PSA 22, Orange County.
Members of the public are invited to attend the hearing and provide testimony on any issue of concern to older adults, caregivers, and persons with disabilities including, but not limited to, programs funded through federal and State grants administered by the Office on Aging: adult day care, case management, community services, health promotion, elder abuse prevention, the Elderly Nutrition Program, the Family Caregiver Support Program, the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, information and assistance, in-home services, legal services, nutrition transportation, the Ombudsman program, and the Senior Community Services Employment Program.
OC Community Resources is releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) requesting applications to provide Registered Dietitian Services to oversee the comprehensive and coordinated Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP), also known as Nutrition Services. OC Community Resources is seeking proposals from qualified Registered Dietitians to provide consultation and assistance to the Office on Aging (OoA) and to the ENP contractors of the OoA. The goal of the Registered Dietitian is to ensure that the nutrition services of the OoA are effectively administered adhering to the rules and regulations of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, the Retail Food Code, and ensuring best food and nutrition practices are followed.
