About Powerful Tools for Caregivers: • Meets 2 ½ hours per week for six weeks • Small group (10-15 participants) • Professional-led self-management workshop • Promotes empowerment by teaching behavior management • Self-care tools developed: o Change negative self-talk o Reduce personal stress o Communicate needs to family members and healthcare or service providers o Communicate more effectively in challenging situations o Recognize the messages in emotions o Deal with difficult feelings
