2026-2027 Area Plan Update
On Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM, the County of Orange Office on Aging will conduct a public hearing to present information and solicit comments on the Draft 2026-27 Area Plan Update. The hearing will be held immediately following the meeting of the Orange County Older Adults Advisory Commission at County Operations Data Center, Main Conference Room located at 1400 S. Grand Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
The Office on Aging, serving as the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Orange County, submits an annual update to the four-year Area Plan 2024-2028 to the California Department of Aging (CDA). The annual update outlines the comprehensive services available to older adults, people with disabilities, and caregivers as required by the Older Americans Act and Older Californians Act programs and services administered by the local AAAs.
Members of the public are invited to attend the hearing and provide testimony on any issue of concern to older adults including, but not limited to, the following programs funded through federal and State grants administered by the Office on Aging: Senior Supportive Services, Elderly Nutrition Program, Health Promotion, Family Caregiver Support Program, Information and Assistance, Legal Services, Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, Ombudsman Program, Elder Abuse Prevention, and Senior Community Service Employment Program.
